The development of the offshore zones in the British Virgin Islands

In the second half of the 1990s. - The beginning of the century, most of today's rapidly developing offshore area in the British Virgin Islands
(offshore ready: Westania Group Ltd, Novastar Partners Ltd, Novus Alliance Ltd, Celena Ltd), which is a leader among global offshore centers. Zone, located on the islands of the Caribbean Sea to the east, has good communication, a direct air link with the United States, as well as other air lines.  

Legislation of this popular tax-free zones similar to that which operates in the Bahamas. Even the model name of offshore companies the same - an international business company. However, this is not an offshore zone in its classical sense. Its advantage is due to the favorable tax system agreements, working conditions and other official representations of the benefits provided by companies registered in it. In this offshore center are charged a small tax on profits.  

Companies registered in the area are used as transit points for your own internal (transfer) transfers of capital. The destination of such transfer, in most cases, are the classic offshore companies in "tax havens". 

In the area there is a rapid growth of offshore companies. In 1988, there were 7.1 million registered companies in 1991 - 15.6 thousand, and in 1996 - already 43 thousand new international business companies. Thus, according to some estimates, in the register of the British Virgin Islands for 10 years - from 1984 to 1994 there were 200,000 international companies, and today their number has exceeded 600,000. Revenues from the offshore business and tourism form the bulk of the country's budget.
